Basal Cell Tumor Kitten

At this age, a skin mass that looks like this is most likely a benign (not cancerous) tumor called a basal cell tumor. The physical characteristics of this mass may also be consistent with another benign type of mass called an epthelioma. In a cat this young, skin cancer would be unusual, but on rare occassions, masses that have physical characteristics that resemble basal cell tumors and epitheliomas can also be a malignant (cancerous) type of mass called an adenocarcinoma.
