Dachshund has tucked tail, urinates on tail, won’t lift tail much to have bowel movement and or is avoiding bowel movement. Vet believes it is an injury at the base of the tail, neurologist has ruled out IVDD or any kind of back injury. Prednisone and trammadol have been prescribed as well as an antibiotic urine tested positive for bacteria (assuming from refusing to urinate), dog does not seem be be improving has been on medication for 7 days thus far and is on crate rest, now seems to be having a painful abdomen but has not had bowel movement in some time.
