Based on the history you provided, nausea may be the cause for your dog’s drooling, a common cause for drooling in the absense of malodorous breath. Since drooling often precedes vomiting, we suggest that you make use of our vomiting symptom checker diagnostic. Vomiting symptom checker diagnostic
My 9 year old dog had been drooling excessively, “huffing” when she breathes sometimes, and her eyes are half closed since this morning. In the last little while she has become off balance and is walking like she’s drunk. We took her to the vet this afternoon, they said they didn’t know what was wrong and gave her a cerenia shot and a prescription for reglan to start tomorrow.
The drunk walk is new. Should I be concerned? Should I take her in tonight?
What was the outcome? My 9yo Goldendoodle started similar symptoms about 2 months ago.
