My dog is four years old and suddenly went blind. She also has put on a large amount of gerth and has been excessively drooling. The weight gain and drooling g started about a month and a half ago. We noticed the blindness about a month ago. Took her to the vet and found elevated liver function tests but lepto screen was negative. Any other ideas as to the cause? I thought SARDS but her age and breed is t common for it. She is a chihuahua/fox terrier mix. Any advice as to next steps would be greatly appreciated.
