My dog is experiencing a stiff neck or “lock jaw” along with drooling, fatigue, and swollen/shut right eye. We took him to the vet and he was given prednisone for a possible bee sting in his throat. Since he did not allow them to look inside, they treated him according to their assumptions. They are still unsure about why he continues to turn his neck and remain so fatigue. Is it worth spending money to have them sedate him and look inside? I have a weird feeling something is seriously wrong and am not sure what to do. The swelling in his eye has gone down and the drooling has stopped but he still seems to be acting tired and lazy, which is very unlike him. Any thoughts?
