Hello. I have a 6 year old female pug who began to bloat on Christmas. She got very round and fat, huge!! I called her vet and they told me if she was still having a bowel movement that they weren’t too concerned and she was still having a bowel movement but instead of the usually large poop it was a lot smaller. As of yesterday, 1/2/2016 she was back to her normal weight with smaller sized poop still. Now, today on her back from her tail to the middle of her back it is concave, sucked in like she has lost a ton of weight on both sides and she is a chunky dog. She looks like she has dropped a very significant amount of weight over the last 24 hours along her spine on the back half of her back. Her gums are pink, she doesn’t appear to be in pain because she’s not whining or barking. Everything seems completely normal other than the weight problems. I’m not entirely sure how much she weighs. I am wondering if I should be concerned and just take her to the vet immediately?
